Create KlickTipp Triggers via Webhook

With the KlickTipp integration in Zapier, you can automatically save contacts in Google Sheets as soon as a contact is assigned a specific tag. The following example shows you how to set up such an automation using KlickTipp as a trigger.

Create Zap

  • Open the → Zaps area in Zapier and click on → Create Zap.
  • Select KlickTipp as the trigger app.

Configure KlickTipp trigger

  • Select a trigger event, for example → Tag Added to Contact. This event is triggered as soon as a specific tag is assigned to a contact.
  • Click → Continue  and copy the webhook URL that Zapier creates for you.

Create outbound in KlickTipp and test connection

  • Go to → AutomationWebhook → New Webhook.
  • Give the webhook a name and select the desired manual tag for activation.
  • Insert the webhook URL from Zapier and click → Create webhook.
  • As soon as the outbound is created, you can trigger it via → Save & test.
  • In Zapier, you can see the loaded data records from KlickTipp after clicking on → Test Trigger.

Connect Google Sheet for the entry of the address on a list

  • Select the Google Sheets app under → Action.  Sign in via → Sign in  or select your saved Google access data.
  • Set the → Action event  to → Create Spreadsheet Row  to add the contact to the list and click → Continue.
  • Now define the storage location of the sheet by selecting → DriveSpreadsheetWorksheet.  Also define the column assignment so that the contact is entered in the correct place and click → Continue.
  • Test the Zap via → Test Step  and check whether the contact has been entered correctly in the list.

As soon as you have activated the Zap via → Publish,  every contact to whom the defined tag is assigned is automatically entered in the defined list.

Create KlickTipp Action

In this practical example, we will show you how to create KlickTipp actions in Zapier. We will set up a Zap that automatically adds contacts from Calendly bookings to KlickTipp.

  • Select a trigger app, for example Calendly.

Configure Calendly trigger

  • Select → Invitee Created as the trigger event.
    • This trigger is triggered as soon as a new booking is made in Calendly.
  • If you have not yet connected your Calendly account to Zapier, you can do so now. Then click on → Continue.
  • Set the desired → Scope (individual user, organization or group) and optionally select → Event Type. Then click on → Continue.
  • Test the trigger with → Test Trigger  to check whether the data is successfully retrieved from Calendly.

Add KlickTipp action

  • Select → KlickTipp  as the action app.
  • Set the → Action event  to → Add Contact  to create a new contact.
  • If you have not yet connected your KlickTipp account, you can do so now. Then click on → Continue.

  • Assign the Calendly data to the appropriate KlickTipp fields:
    • First Name → Invitee First Name
    • Last name → Invitee Last Name
    • Email address → Invitee Email
  • If you want to identify the source of the contact, you can add a tag, for example → Calendly booking.
  • Make sure all required fields are filled out correctly and click → Continue.

Test and activate Zap

  • Test the Zap with → Test Step  to transfer a test contact from Calendly to KlickTipp.
  • Check in KlickTipp whether the contact was created successfully.
  • If the test was successful, save the zap and activate it via → Publish.
