Step-by-Step Instructions

Prerequisites

• KlickTipp account with HubSpot add-on: Make sure that you have a subscription to KlickTipp and that the appropriate HubSpot add-on is activated.
• HubSpot account: Check whether you have access to your HubSpot system.

Establishing a Connection between HubSpot and KlickTipp

• In KlickTipp, go to Marketing tools and click on Add new marketing tool.
• Search for HubSpot and select it. You will then be guided through the upgrade process and redirected to the HubSpot link.
• If you have not yet booked the HubSpot add-on, you can activate it as an upgrade here.
• An authorization window for HubSpot will open. If you are not logged in, log in and grant the necessary access rights.
• Confirm the connection - you will then be automatically redirected back to KlickTipp.

Set up Marketing Tools in KlickTipp

• Enter a name for your HubSpot link.
• Optionally, you can assign a label to the marketing tool in KlickTipp - this helps you to better organize your elements.
• Define the Opt-In Process that should be triggered for contacts after the transfer to KlickTipp. You can also optionally add a tag to segment your contacts more specifically. When a contact is transferred to KlickTipp for the first time, KlickTipp automatically starts the stored opt-in process and sends a confirmation email to new KlickTipp contacts in the event of a double opt-in process.
• Each contact from HubSpot is automatically segmented via a SmartTag so that suitable campaigns can be triggered in KlickTipp.
• Finally, confirm your entries.

Transfer Contacts from HubSpot to KlickTipp

• The connection between KlickTipp and HubSpot has been set up successfully. The first complete data synchronization now runs in the background and can take a few hours depending on the number of contacts. All your HubSpot contacts are imported into KlickTipp and given a HubSpot smart tag.
• After completion, the connection remains active: New or changed HubSpot contacts are automatically transferred to KlickTipp every 10 minutes. This keeps both systems in sync at all times, so you can concentrate fully on your marketing.

Data Transmission from HubSpot

• If you change the email address of a HubSpot contact, a new contact is automatically created in KlickTipp.
• If the email address of a contact in HubSpot is empty, the value from the work email address is used instead.
