Prerequisites
- HubSpot Add-On in KlickTipp: Make sure you have activated the correct HubSpot Add-On in your KlickTipp account.
- HubSpot Account: Check that you have access to your HubSpot system.
Connect HubSpot to KlickTipp
- In KlickTipp, go to Marketing tools and click on Add new marketing tool.
- Search for HubSpot and select it. You will then be guided through the upgrade process and redirected to the HubSpot link.
- If you have not yet booked the HubSpot add-on, you can activate it as an upgrade here.
- An authorization window for HubSpot will open. If you are not logged in, log in and grant the necessary access rights.
- Confirm the connection - you will then be automatically redirected back to KlickTipp.
Set Up Marketing Tools in KlickTipp
- Enter a name for your HubSpot link.
- You can also assign a label to the marketing tool in KlickTipp to organize your items more clearly.
- Define the Opt-In Process that should be triggered after contacts are transferred to KlickTipp. You can also optionally add a tag to segment your contacts more specifically. When a contact is transferred to KlickTipp for the first time, KlickTipp automatically starts the stored opt-in process and sends a confirmation email to new KlickTipp contacts in the event of a double opt-in process.
- Each HubSpot contact is automatically tagged with a SmartTag so that relevant campaigns can be triggered in KlickTipp.
- Finally, confirm your entries.
Important to Know
Please note the following when selecting the opt-in process: The marketing tool uses double opt-in by default. Adjust this setting if you prefer to use a different opt-in method.
When contacts are transferred from HubSpot to KlickTipp for the first time, the stored opt-in process is automatically triggered. If double opt-in is enabled, the corresponding opt-in email will also be sent automatically.
Transfer Contacts from HubSpot to KlickTipp
- The connection between KlickTipp and HubSpot has been set up successfully. The first full data sync now runs in the background and may take several hours, depending on the number of contacts. All your HubSpot contacts are imported into KlickTipp and assigned a HubSpot SmartTag.
- After completion, the connection remains active: New or changed HubSpot contacts are automatically transferred to KlickTipp every 10 minutes. This keeps both systems in sync, so you can focus fully on your marketing.
Data Transmission from HubSpot
The HubSpot integration primarily transfers data from HubSpot to KlickTipp. However, there are two special cases that you should be aware of:
- If you change the email address of a HubSpot contact, a new contact is automatically created in KlickTipp.
- If the email address of a contact in HubSpot is empty, the value from the work email address is used instead.

- Create an email campaign in KlickTipp that is triggered for contacts with the HubSpot SmartTag in the start condition.
