Thanks to a new KlickTipp feature, you can easily integrate referral links into your emails, newsletters or even your email signatures.
Ask your recipients to forward the referral link to contacts who might be interested in your newsletter, webinar or online course. Why should your recipients refer you in the first place? Quite simply, you thank them by giving them valuable gifts after a certain number of new leads. For example, you could thank them with an exclusive strategy video for the first new lead, give away a premium course worth €497 for 5 new leads or even offer personal 1:1 coaching for 15 new leads.
Our recommendation: Be generous with your gifts. Always remember that each new B2B lead is worth between €150 and €600. If you manage to attract just 100 new leads per month, you can unlock a sales potential of between €15,000 and €60,000.

Important to Know
Before you create a referral program, first import the campaign template. The required additional field for the counter is imported directly and you can assign it directly to your referral program.
Please make sure that the option → Allow different values for individual reference data records is deactivated so that the number field can be used for the referral program.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Create Landing Page
- First of all, you need a landing page with a KlickTipp registration form where you can attract new leads.
- If you don't yet have a landing page or registration form online, you can easily create a new landing page with our integrated landing page builder.
- To do this, simply click on the → Landing Pages option in the → List Building menu and then on → + Landing pages.
- Enter a name and click on → Create Landing Page.
- Then click on the tab → Landing Page Editor.
- Simply choose a suitable template and publish your landing page.
- Of course, you don't have to use our landing page editor. You can use any URL, even on your own web server, where a KlickTipp registration form is integrated.
Edit Data Field for Referral Counter
- Click on → Contacts → Data Fields in the menu.
- Now select the imported master record field and click on it to edit it.
- Please deactivate the option → Allow different Values for individual Reference Records so that the field is available for the referral program.
Create a new Referral Program
- Create a new referral program.
- To do this, click on → List Building → Marketing Tools → New Marketing Tool → Referral Program.
- Use the field already imported with the campaign for the counter.
Send Referral Link by Email
- In the email editor, you will now find a new data field that you can insert as a placeholder in your email.
- This works in all emails, i.e. newsletters, autoresponders, trigger emails, notifications, cart abandonment emails, etc.
- Click on → Insert Placeholder → Other Data → Referral URL: Recommendation Program.
- Add the referral counter to your email. Click on → Insert Placeholder → Contact Details → Additional Fields → Referral Counter.
Start Campaign after SmartTag Allocation
- Open the imported campaign.
- Click on → Campaigns in the → Campaigns menu.
- Select your desired campaign or create a new one.
- In the start condition of the campaign, select the → Referral Program option under → What would You like to check?
- Select the appropriate condition and your created referral program from the drop-down menu.
- You can also select a specific time period.
- Click → Save at the end of editing.
- Activate the campaign when everything is done. To do this, click → Drafted at the top of the header bar and follow the steps.
As soon as the number of recommendations is reached, the campaign for the contact starts.
