Set Up Subscription Payments for Products in KlickTipp

In this article, we’ll guide you on how to set up subscription payments for products in KlickTipp. This feature allows you to track each customer’s payment status and manage product delivery accordingly.

With subscription payments, you can choose different billing intervals to suit your needs. The setting → Subscription term  enables you to monitor payment statuses in KlickTipp. This helps you actively manage product access based on whether a subscription is active or inactive.

By default, the subscription term is set to → Lifetime.  However, you can select from a variety of predefined payment periods to match your product or service requirements.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Configure Payment Period and SmartTags

  • Select a Digistore24 or Paypal product under → Listbuiliding.
  • Set the payment period of your product at Digistore24 or Paypal.
  • After this period, the contact will receive the SmartTag for an inactive subscription. This applies if no new payment has been registered. Otherwise, the SmartTag for the active subscription will be set again.

Good to Know

Only with Digistore24 can you select the option → From Order.

 

The payment provider announces the billing date via an IPN notification. With PayPal, only the specific payment for the corresponding period is recorded.

Query in the Marketing Cockpit

For example, use an “If...Else...” action to check the subscription status of your contact:

In the drop-down menu under the item → What would you like to check,  select the menu item → Subscription Payment.

Choose from 4 Different Options:

  • Contact has the subscription for the product
  • Contact does not have the subscription for the product
  • Contact has a subscription for any product
  • Contact has not canceled or reactivated a subscription for any product.
