Use the Deletion Webhook in KlickTipp for Data Requests

In this article, you’ll learn how to use the webhook feature for deletion requests in KlickTipp’s Privacy Dashboard. This feature was previously called “Outbound” in KlickTipp. With it, you can trigger automated follow-up actions in connected systems (for example, via Zapier) to ensure data is deleted in those tools as well.

A contact’s data is often stored not only in KlickTipp but also in other tools. When you receive a deletion request in the Privacy Dashboard, KlickTipp deletes the contact data within KlickTipp.

You can use a webhook to start a follow-up process that deletes the contact’s data in your other systems. For example, you can send the data record to be deleted to a Google spreadsheet via Zapier.

Optionally, you can also notify your data protection officer by email as part of the process. Other workflows are possible as well—what you can automate depends on the features of the third-party provider you use.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Create a Webhook

  • Go to → Automation  Webhook  New Webhook.
  • Enter a name for the webhook.
  • Choose a manual tag (this tag will be set when the webhook is triggered).
  • Paste the activation URL from your third-party provider (for example, Zapier).
  • Click → Create Webhook.

Select the Webhook in the Privacy Dashboard

  • Go to → Tools  Privacy Dashboard.
  • Open → Settings.
  • Select the webhook you created earlier.

That’s it—you’ve configured a webhook for deletion requests. This helps you handle requests efficiently across connected systems and supports complete, consistent data deletion. If you see the term “Outbound” in older KlickTipp materials, it refers to the same webhook process for deletion requests.

Make sure to test your webhook workflow and document the steps to maintain strong data protection practices.

If you want to automate more than just deletion requests, you can explore the overview of all available integrations to see additional ways to connect KlickTipp with your tools.
