Automatically Save and Use Jotform Data in KlickTipp

Prerequisites

  • KlickTipp account with API access: Check if you have a Premium subscription or higher to use the API.
  • Jotform account: Make sure you have active Jotform access.
  • Make account: Make sure you have a Make account.

Preparations within the KlickTipp Account

  • Create all the necessary master data fields in your KlickTipp account to be able to save the information transferred from Jotform. This ensures that the data is correctly assigned to your master data record.
  • Here is an overview of the fields you should create in KlickTipp:

Create a Jotform Account

  • Go to the Jotform website.
  • Click on → Register for free  in the top right corner.
  • You can create your account via Google, Microsoft, Facebook or register with your e-mail address.
  • Enter your email address, click → Continue  and follow the further instructions to enter your name and password.
  • Complete the registration by confirming your email address. Follow the instructions in the verification email.

Use Form Template

  • Open the link to the Jotform template for the integration.
  • Click on → Use Template.
  • Log in if you are not already logged in.
  • Take a close look at the form fields. The template offers you ready-made fields that are optimally adapted to KlickTipp. This allows you to transfer test values for every possible data type of the KlickTipp master record fields.
  • In the template you will find fields such as email address, phone number, line, paragraph, numbers, date/time and more.
  • Publish the form via → Publish/Publish  and copy the link with → Copy link/Copy link.  You can use this link to make test entries in the form and check the transfer to KlickTipp.

Import Make Scenario

  • Create the necessary scenario via our import link and follow the wizard or Guided Setup or import the template and customize it manually using the following steps.

Set up Jotform Module

  • Click on the JotForm module in the scenario and open the settings.
  • Create a new webhook and give it a suitable name.
  • Select → ConnectionAdd  to create a new connection.
  • Go to your JotForm account:
    • Click on your profile picture at the top right → SettingsAPI.
    • Create a new API key with Full Access.
    • Copy the key and paste it into the connection in the Make window.
  • Select the team and form you want to use for data transfer.
  • Save the settings with → Save.

Set up KlickTipp Module

  • Click on the KlickTipp module and open the settings.
  • Under → Connection,  either select an existing account or create a new one via → Add.
  • Enter your username and password from KlickTipp - either from the main account or from a sub-account with API rights.
  • Select the desired opt-in process from the drop-down menu
  • Optional: Define a tag to automatically segment the contact.
  • Now assign the fields from JotForm to the corresponding fields in KlickTipp - for example
    • First name → fieldFirstName
    • Email → Email
    • Date of birth → fieldBirthday  (in UNIX timestamp)
    • etc.

Activate and test Scenario

  • Click on → Run once  at the bottom left to test the scenario.
  • Open the published JotForm form via the previously copied link.
  • Fill in all fields and submit the form.
  • Switch to your KlickTipp account and check whether the data has been transferred correctly.
