Step-by-Step Instructions

Prerequisites

• KlickTipp account with API access: Check if you have a Premium subscription or higher to use the API.
• Typeform account: Make sure you have an active active Typeform account.
• Make account: Make sure you have a Make account.

Create a Typeform Account

• Open the Typeform website.
• Register as follows:
  • Click → Sign Up  in the top right corner.
  • Select → Sign Up  with email or another option such as → Google  or → Microsoft.
  • Enter your email address and a password.
  • Accept the terms and conditions and privacy policy
  • Confirm your registration via the email you receive from Typeform
• First login and personalization:
  • Answer the questions on usage so that the Typeform interface is optimally adapted to your needs.

Create Typeform Form

Required Fields in the Form

• Personal data:
  • First name: A text field for the first name.
  • Last name: A text field for the last name.
  • E-mail address: A field for entering the e-mail address.
  • Mobile phone number: A field for entering the phone number.
  • Birthday: A date field in the format DDMMYYYYY.
  • LinkedIn URL: A field for entering the LinkedIn profile URL.
• Quiz questions:
  • Question 1: What is KlickTipp used for? A multiple-choice field with options such as → Email Marketing, → Newsletter Distribution  or → Automation.
  • Question 2: Where is Klick-Tipp Limited based? A drop-down menu with locations such as → Hanover, → Berlin  or → Munich.
  • Question 3: How many employees does the KlickTipp Customer Happiness Team have? A number field in which the number of team members can be entered.

Publish Form

• After you have created the form, click → Publish  to publish it.
• Copy the link to the form so that you can test the Typeform integration.

Import Make Scenario

• Create the necessary scenario via our import link and follow the wizard or → Guided Setup or import the template and adjust it manually using the following steps.

Set up the Typeform Module

• Click on the TypeForm module in the scenario and open the settings.
• Create a new webhook and give it a suitable name.
• Under → Connection → Add, select to create a new connection and enter your Typeform access data.
• Select the form you want to use for data transfer and select yes under → enabled to transfer the entries directly.
• Save the settings with → Save.

Set up KlickTipp Module

• Click on the KlickTipp module and open the settings.
• Under → Connection, either select an existing account or create a new one via → Add.
• Enter your username and password from KlickTipp - either from the main account or from a sub-account with API rights.
• Select the desired opt-in process from the drop-down menu
• Optional: Define a tag to automatically segment the contact.
• Now assign the fields from TypeForm to the corresponding fields in KlickTipp - for example
  • First name → fieldFirstName
  • Email → Email
  • Date of birth → fieldBirthday (in UNIX timestamp)
  • etc.

Activate and Test Scenario

• Click on → Run once  at the bottom left to test the scenario.
• Open the published TypeForm form via the previously copied link.
• Fill in all fields and submit the form.
• Switch to your KlickTipp account and check whether the data has been transferred correctly.
